    SQL Server Conversion

Does anyone have experience they would like to share related to converting from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 or 2008?  We will likely all be involved in this process sooner or later.  Advanced warning of tips and tricks would be worthwhile.

Yep. The Upgrade Advisors are your friend. My experience indicates they err on the side of caution, which is a good thing. They catch things that will be deprecated, even if they aren't yet. Some folks complain about that, but I like it. I'd rather do the work while I'm in there - as opposed to putting it off on the next team.
